Real silk. Always. Synthetics do not have the friction reduction or breathability of genuine silk.

It can, when the lining is rough cotton or synthetic. Silk is far smoother, so there’s much less friction on your hair.

Heat, sweat and friction from a regular hat can make breakouts along the hat line worse. Hatsy’s silk lining breathes and doesn’t hold sweat against your skin the way cotton does, so it’s gentler on breakout-prone skin. It isn’t an acne treatment; for ongoing breakouts, see a dermatologist.
